Waller Eagle Food Drive
This year’s theme is “Feed a Family” and we are asking all students to participate in the annual Waller Eagle Food Drive on Mar. 1-5.
This year many families have faced having less food on the table and the local food pantries and food banks have been pushed to provide more and more to families who struggle.
At this time we would like to ask our students and faculty to donate food items to help “Feed a Family”. Each student may bring a food item to donate but we also would like to ask each grade to specialize in specific food items that food pantries really need.
6th Grade Advisories:
Peanut Butter, Applesauce, Crackers, Canned Fruit
7th Grade Advisories:
Soups, Pasta, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Canned Tuna
8th Grade Advisories
Canned Vegetables, Canned Chicken, Canned Beans, Powdered Milk
Faculty: Stew, Chili, Whole Grain Cereal, Cooking Oil, Canned Meat (Faculty items can be dropped off at Mrs. Milacek’s office, Room 123.)
Please remember - pop top cans work better for those without full kitchens and are a plus! We cannot accept glass containers.
The Advisory in each grade bringing the most items will receive a party on Wednesday, Mar. 10. Chik-fil-a, pizza, snacks – lots of rewards!
Food should be kept in a box in Advisory and tallied each day. The final tally will be collected when food is brought to the collection in the lobby on Friday.
Loaves and Fishes food pantry will receive the food this year. (We are asked to help specific food pantries when we donate food.)
